ID-Net Conferences 2015

Towards the end of July I co-coordinated a wonderful conference on The Animal Human Bond2 with my colleague Tamar Axelrad Levy.  We had a great group of scholars who offered papers on a wide range of topics.  I was unable to present my paper due to time constraints but I hope to continue working on it.  The topic was the ways animals function within children’s literature.  IN our after conference dinner we got some pictures but I am hoping to get a full group shot from one of our participants.

My second conference was the fifth conference on Childhood.  We had about 22 attendees and the overall theme was exploitation.  I presented a paper on Human Rights and the rights of the child but we had papers on a wide range of topics, including papers on literature, film, incarceration of youth, child workers, children in war.  We did take a group shot but again, I am hoping someone will send me a copy. Here are some images from the Oxford Botantical Garden and around Oxford.
